Unmarried couples, including queer couples, can jointly adopt a child: CJI Chandrachud

During the verdict on same-sex marriage, Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud said that unmarried couples, including queer couples, can jointly adopt a child. CJI Chandrachud also stated that the Central Adoption Resource Authority circular not giving adoption rights to queer couples is violative of Article 15 of the Constitution.
