Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in China on Tuesday to meet President Xi Jinping in a rare trip abroad. Putin would hold talks with Xi on the sidelines of a forum marking 10 years of China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). “President Xi Jinping calls me his friend and I call him my friend, too,” Putin said ahead of the visit.
